Embassy legalization is the multi-step alternative required for non-Hague countries like UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Vietnam — the document is first authenticated by the US State Department, then attested by the foreign embassy. We handle both routes.
Can you authenticate a birth certificate from Santa Clara County?
Yes — California birth records are one of our most-requested document types. We process certificates from Santa Clara, Alameda, San Mateo, and every California county. We need a certified copy from the County Recorder, not a photocopy. If you don’t have one, we’ll guide you through ordering it via VitalChek before your appointment.
Do you offer FBI background check authentication?
Yes — this is one of our specialties. FBI Identity History Summary reports require a federal seal from the U.S. Department of State, not the California Secretary of State. We fingerprint, channel to the FBI, and federal-authenticate the result — around 12 business days end-to-end for $350 flat.
Can you handle documents for Mexico, Italy, Spain, Germany, India, or South Korea?
All six are Hague Convention members, so a single CA SOS seal is sufficient. Mexico is our highest-volume destination. Italian dual citizenship requires sworn translation (we coordinate it). Spain, Germany, India, and South Korea follow the standard CA SOS path.
