The honest comparison

Three ways to get your passport

Here’s where each option helps — and where it leaves you on your own.

Online expediter apps

Fast and slick — but it’s a remote AI chatbot. English-first, no one to sit with, and the service fee can surprise you at checkout.

The post office

Inexpensive, but appointment-only, no help filling the forms, no language support, and no way to expedite beyond standard mail.

Us — in person, in your language

We sit with you, complete and double-check every form, take the photo, prepare the packet, show the fees up front, and handle the rest of your documents too.

Safe, licensed, transparent

Real people you can trust with your documents

Immigrant families are targeted by document scams. We’re the licensed, transparent opposite.

Private & transparent

We’re a licensed private office, never the government, and your government fee and our fee are always itemized separately — no surprises at checkout.

Licensed & accountable

California DOJ-certified, a commissioned notary, and a Registered LDA (#268). If you’ve been warned about notaryo or visa scams, this is the safe alternative.

Done right the first time

We verify the documents and details that get applications rejected, so a mistake doesn’t cost you weeks before a trip or a deadline.

Passport help questions

How is this different from doing it myself at the post office or online?
We do it sa you, in person and in your language. We complete and double-check every form, take a compliant photo, verify your documents so nothing gets bounced, and handle the rest of your paperwork in the same visit. The post office won’t help you fill anything out, and the online apps are a remote chatbot.
Can you submit my online passport renewal for me?
No — and you should be careful with anyone who says they will. The State Department requires you to sign and submit your own online renewal. What we do is sit with you and walk you through the official portal step by step in your language, so it’s done correctly. For mail renewals (DS-82), we complete and package everything and you sign it.
How fast can I get my passport?
Routine service runs about 6–8 weeks. With the State Department’s $60 expedite added to a mail application, it’s usually about 2–3 weeks plus shipping. For truly urgent travel within days, the only faster route is hand-carry to a passport agency by a registered courier — ask us and we’ll tell you your honest options.
Are you affiliated with the U.S. government?
No. We are a private, licensed San Jose office — California DOJ-certified, with a commissioned notary and Registered LDA (#268). We charge a flat assistance fee that is always shown separately from the government’s fees, and we never imply we are the government.
Nagsasalita ka ba ng Espanyol o Vietnamese?
Yes. Our office serves English-, Spanish-, and Vietnamese-speaking customers, and we coordinate other languages as needed. If forms in English have been the barrier, this is exactly what we fix.
Magkano ang sinisingil mo?
Our fees are simple and flat: $100 for full application assistance, $20 for two printed 2×2 passport photos, or $15 for a digital photo sized for online renewal. That is separate from the government’s fees — currently $130 for an adult book or $100 for a minor, plus a $35 post-office execution fee on first-time and minor applications, and an optional $60 to expedite. See the full breakdown above.
Can you help with a first-time passport?
Yes. We prepare your DS-11, verify your citizenship and supporting documents, take your photo, and assemble the complete packet, then point you to the right acceptance facility and appointment so it’s accepted the first time.
Ano ang dapat kong dalhin?
Your most recent passport if renewing, or your citizenship document (birth certificate or naturalization certificate) and a photo ID if it’s a first-time application. Not sure? Call us first and we’ll give you a short checklist in your language.
