What Is Nursing Fingerprinting?
Nursing fingerprinting San Jose is a fingerprint-based criminal history check required before California issues, endorses, or renews a nursing license. The DOJ runs the state check, the FBI runs the federal check, and your board pulls the results into BreEZe.
Title 16 CCR §1419 requires every active-status RN renewal to have valid prints on file dated on or after January 1, 2014. Prints older than that — or missing entirely — will hold your renewal until new prints clear. Initial-license applicants must file the BreEZe application first, then come in for Live Scan.
