Live Scan for your group,
at your address
When five or more people at one address all need prints, a certified roller brings the equipment to you and submits every set the same day, so nobody loses a morning to travel.
Request a group visit
Visits start at five people. Tell us where you are and how many, and we reply with a time and the exact total before anything is booked.
The short answer
Yes, we come to your group
A mobile Live Scan San Jose visit works exactly like an office appointment, except the equipment travels. A DOJ-certified roller arrives at your address, checks each ID and request form, captures every set of prints electronically, and submits them to the California Department of Justice and the FBI before leaving. Nobody in the group has to travel afterwards.
This page covers visits for five to nine people at a single address, which is our minimum for sending a roller out. Fewer than five is faster and cheaper as a walk-in at our San Jose office. Ten or more, an organisation account, or recurring screening are handled by our business division at Fingerscan Digital.
Who books a group visit
Groups we travel to
Extended families applying together
Adoption, immigration, or dual citizenship where five or more relatives all need prints on the same day.
Small offices and practices
Dental, legal, and real-estate offices where five to nine staff need licensing prints without closing for the morning.
Shift teams and crews
Care staff, drivers, and site crews whose hours never line up with a weekday office visit, printed together between shifts.
Care and residential facilities
Where several residents or staff at one facility need clearance and moving everyone is impractical.
Fewer than five?
A mobile trip is not worth the travel fee. Walk into the office weekdays instead, no appointment needed.
Ten or more people?
Larger groups, organisations, and recurring schedules go to our business division at Fingerscan Digital.
Four steps
How a group visit works
Send the request
Use the form above or call. Tell us the address, how many people, and what the prints are for.
We confirm the total
You get a time slot and the full cost, including travel, before anything is booked. No surprises at the door.
The roller arrives
A certified roller brings the DOJ Live Scan unit, checks each ID and request form, and captures the prints.
Submitted before we leave
Prints transmit electronically to the DOJ and FBI from your address, and you keep the receipt.
How far we travel
Our house-call radius
San Jose, Campbell, Santa Clara. Usually same-week, often next-day.
Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Los Gatos, Cupertino, Mountain View. Scheduled a few days ahead.
Wider Bay Area on request. Call and we will say honestly whether the travel fee is worth it.
Before we arrive
What to have ready
A mobile Live Scan San Jose booking goes fastest with these ready before we knock.
- A valid government photo ID for each person being printed
- The request form from your agency, employer, or board, with the ORI number filled in
- A table or counter with a power outlet within reach
- Clean, dry hands — lotion and fresh cuts make prints harder to capture
- Payment by cash, credit, or debit
- Parking guidance if the address is gated or has restricted access
Costs are a travel fee plus a rolling fee per person, and the DOJ and FBI charges set by those agencies are collected at the visit and remitted to them. We confirm the total in writing before booking.
Why people book us
One visit, done properly
A mobile Live Scan San Jose visit is simple arithmetic: one trip costs the group less time than five.
We check the form first
If the ORI or application type looks wrong we catch it before submission, not after a rejection letter.
The price is fixed in advance
You approve the total before we schedule. No hourly creep and no charge for a wasted trip.
Everything in one stop
DOJ Live Scan, FBI checks through an FBI-approved channeler partner, and FD-258 ink cards in the same visit.
